Beard Transplant
Reasons for not growing a beard
The beard is closely related to the testosterone hormone in men. The lack of development of ovaries in men, low level of testosterone hormone, lack of receptors in hair follicles, genetic factors, burns, traumas and injuries are the main reasons for not growing a beard.
How is beard transplantation done?
Before the beard transplant procedure, the patient is given local anesthesia. Then, hair follicles are taken from the nape area. These hair grafts are placed in the beardless area and a natural beard appearance is created in the patient.
After beard transplantation, redness occurs in the area where the procedure is performed. These rashes heal and disappear completely 2 weeks after the operation.
